Ok......Time to compare! Ive got some issues to sort out here.

    Quake3 Fast fps 53.4
    Normal " 46.4
    Highest" 41.0

    Final Reality 5.23
AGP test at max Mb =78.75

    3Dmark (Oct. 24 1998 release)
    3,591 marks
    6,975 CPU geometry
    2,532 raster.

    Wintune 98 1641.9 Mips
    643.5 Mflops

now the "PCI LIST" program shows the agp x 1 ivider ticked not the agp 2?....is that a problem?? (this is for cpu + pci/agp bridge)

My system is a 366c Celeron at 550Mhz, Abit BP6 board, 128meg Ram, G400 Max, Quantam fireball drives, awe 64 s/c etc........running win98 (not utilizing the additional cpu yet!!)

Do the above benches ring true???......love to get someone with the same base system and compare results!!

those scores would be lightning fast for 1600x1200x32bpp, but crouching slow for 640x480x16bpp

          Some Q3Test numbers http://home.thezone.net/~bm/benchmarks.html

Wintune98? Is that WinTune98 or WinTune98, or could it be WinTune98? There are a ton of different versions out there.

Final Reality? I don't know what that thing is, is it for generating lottery numbers?
Here is a fast way to run the thing, take the MHz of your cpu and divide by 100.

          3DMark99Max I got 3418 last time I ran it at 800x600x16. K6-3 at 448MHz.

The benchmark I like the most is tirtanium, but that won't run properly on the G400.

            Thanks for the link.
and yes Im running wintune 98, not to be confused with wintune 98, or the previous 98...
Regarding "Final Reality", well tisk tisk!!.....only a classic benchmark program used by your informed online "Gurus"???....anandtech, Toms etc..check this site........................ http://www2.vnu.co.uk/finalreality/

My 3Mark Max score is 4395 at 800x600 16 bit incidentally.

honestly, benchmarking for bragging rights is a sheer waste of time.

For bragging rights??......which part is of my message is bragging? I would enjoy being able to brag if I a reference to compare to!!.....My problem is not bragging but getting enough informed and honest results on which to "check" the perfomance of my system.
I have recently installed my Matrox Max with the current drivers on a new motherboard and new cpu, I have NO idea as to what is a respectable benchmark to expect for this system, hence my inquiry...pure and simple.......now, do you have any bench's yourself ???.......feel free, brag away!!
