Unreal and Motoracer 2 freeze for a flash

My configuration:
motherboard ASUS P3BF
CPU Pentium III 500 Mhz + 64 MB SDRAM PC100
MATROX G400 32 MB
WINDOWS 98 2ND EDITION
The games such as Unreal and Motoracer 2
freeze for a flash every few second and
becomes not playable!. No problem with
Tombraider 3. I am using the drivers 5.25

I don't have either of these games but...I had the exact same thing happen to me in Forsaken. The fix I found was to crank up my video refresh rate. I went fm 85hz to 90 and that fixed it for me.
