Easy on the info....don't want to tell us anything that might be helpful...like system specs, or clarifying what "doesn't work" means.
I'll make one guess. You said PD4. Since there has never been a PD4 for the G400 under win9x (all G400 9x drivers are 5.xx), you must be running NT....? Good luck (NT sucks for gaming).
Only helpful thing I could suggest is making sure you have updated the game. Yeah, and I almost fell out my chair when I saw the name of the patch - something like avpworksong400.exe.
Now if we could get Matrox to release another patch - turboglworksonp2.exe
