Kruzin!! So a G400 16MB OEM is a "vanilla" then?

I'm getting a $120 OEM G400 16MB AGP card. So basically this would be a "vanilla" and it won't have a fan on it then? So instead it'll have a heatsink?

    What's better? heatsink or fan?

fan is better... only the max has a fan... no need to use vanilla with any other cards than the 32 meg dual head... take it this way, you have :
    16 megs single head
    16 megs dual head
    32 megs single head
    32 megs dual head
    32 megs dual head MAX

hence to discern both 32 megs dual cards... we will say a MAX or a Vanilla (plain) G400.

    no rocket sience here...

but if you realy need to say it, then all cards but the MAX would mean vanilla... simply look stupid saying it...

Perhaps to be more clear we should assign other flavors to the other cards.. strawberry, butterscotch, chocolate chip, etc.

        Small correction.

Fan AND heatsink is better (MAX has both). I don't think anyone would install a fan on their CPU or G400 without a heatsink underneath.

        Thats all.

And it is painfully simple to add a fan to a vanilla (Vanilla Swirl?)

Adding fans is easy. Just get two 120mm fans and ziptie them together with the card in the middle. (both fans should be blowing TOWARDS the card)
