RCT expansion pack troubles

I just installed the Roller Coaster Tycoon expansion pack and I am having some problems, there is a vertical black band of ~100 pixels to the right of the screen in any resolution.

The only fix is to disable DirectX acceleration in the DX control panel -and- to run in 1024x768 fullscreen, anybody else has this problem ?

I also have the expansion for RollerCoaster Tycoon. I dont have the problem you mention, but im not able to run the game at 1024x768 fullscreen because the screen has black squares all over it. All other display modes work fine. I would really like to play at 1024x768 fullscreen. I emailed Microprose support to see if they had any suggestions. I will let you know if I find anything out.
Also I saw somewhere to close any floating toolbars before you start the game. Goodluck.
