  • Anyone have problems with HOMM3?

Not exactly a graphic intense game, but my machine freezes up during the intro movie. Never had that problem with any other games. I have a G400Max and running Windows 98. I've upgraded powerdesk to 5.30.007, rest of the video drivers are 4.11.01.1300 and directx is 4.07.00.0700. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

I'll let you know in a bit.
I just picked up the expansion pack and a used copy, so I'm about to install.

      Hi GodZilla,

Yup, my copy freezes up too if I play the game from my 40x speed cdrom drive.

If I install and play the game from my burner (Panasonic 4x/2x), I have a nice movie playback and no probs at all.

If you can slow down the speed of your CDROM drive, it might help too.

Btw, I also have problems with movie playback
      in DK2.

My Settlers 3 copyprotection will kick in if I don't play it from my burner.

Is something broken in Windows with highspeed CDROM drives?

In case someone has a solution, My burner is SCSI, so is my 40x UltraPlex.

Hope someone have figured this out
