Does the UT 348 demo not have OGL?

I pootched my original UT demo (original + patches) so I downloaded the newest full demo, thinking it would have OGL support. I still just have Glide and D3D options. Am I missing something? 3.48 d3d seems much better tho, I am now able to play in 1024x without problems. I still take a pretty big hit with 32bit color though.

There's still OGL support but you have to check something like 'Show unsupported devices' during setup. But don't bother, you will not like it. Glide or D3D is the way to go for UT.

basically Scytale's right ... it's very slow

but it looks soooo much better than D3D

all what we can do right now is hoping for a real OpenGL support in the next patch

I wish I would have know about that server earlier. It would have been kind of ironic to take out some of the Matrox boys with my V2 while my shiny G400 sits unused.

??? I wish I'd known about that server yesterday. I was playing UT for around 6 hours then (day off). Unfortunately I've got to work today. Maybe the server'll be up tonight (I hope).

Yep, UT 338 was too dang slow on my machine using my g400. 640x wasn't playable, so I went with 800x with my v2. With 348, single playaer is nice at 1024x with the g400, but for some reason multiplayer blows. Time for a processor upgrade.

I'm all for visual quality, just not at the expense of playability
