Quake II lags with latest powerdesk for NT

I've noticed that quake II will start to lag after 5min of playing. When I press a key to move say left or right. It moves around one second after I press and not instant. Same with mouse. This pretty much ruins the game all together. Not to mention OpenGL bugs as well. Does anyone else experience lag as well ?
