It took me about 50 seconds to download the demo... god bless my oc3 college line!!! But it runs slower than the tests before because it has more textures.

TurboGL? Does that work with this? Dumped me back to a regular screen, overbright. I might be doing something wrong, though - just got an Athlon 550. :-)

There seem to be some video mode specific problems with TurboGL initialization, but at 800x600x32 with 32 bits textures it works great for me.

BTW, I found the funky shiny middle post base - I have one too. It's funky and shiny.

To all you people with unlimited cable access:

May a thousand maggots feast upon your rotting carcasses!

                Just kidding!

Damnit, it took me all afternoon to DL this demo!
But it looks and plays great. Don't know if anyone cares as most of you own G400's, but I got a nice benchmark of 29 fps in 640*480 on my G200 in Demo001. I'm quite happy with that.

That was with a normal setup with 16-bit textures and color depth, detail level slider one notch from max.

I tried enabling the A3D support. I think this must sound great with a 4 speaker setup, but alas I only have two at the moment, so it sounded a bit strange sometimes with A3D on. And my numbers dropped to 22 fps. Sad...

                Anyway, have fun!

                Jake

OK OK so I'm only downloading at 14-15k/sec but its better than a 14.4 modem right!
25MB so far with maybe 25 mins to go!
                  Can't wait...
Anyone got a list of resolutions/colour depths that TurboGL works in yet?
I saw earlier that ID say that no "MiniICD's" are supported but Scytale seems to have managed it!
