Well, my old G200 is putting along (about 20 fps in HL in OpenGL), and I think it's about time to upgrade. I've been reading down the line, and many people have really talked highly about the G400. What I would like to know (if you have 30 sec to type a response) is A) Do you like your G400 and B) Some specs on it.. fps in HL, Unreal Tourney.. stuff like that.
And if you DON'T like your G400 (I doubt you'd still be checking the board), could you tell me what you would rather have?
My System, if it makes a difference:
Asus P2B-F Motherboard
Intel Pentium III 450 Mhz CPU
128 PC100 SDRAM
24x Creative CD-ROM
Sound Blaster Live Value
Matrox Millinium G200 (with updated bios and drivers)
Linxsys 10/100 Etherfast Network Card
Thanks guys! This board rules.

I just thought you might have a K6-2 or K6-3 based system. Unless you have a small amount of RAM (64megs or less), I really don't know what to tell ya. I have a P3 450 + 128megs RAM and it flies like a bat outta hell with all graphics details set to "high". You could try a few things, like set your OCed processor back to 450, turn off 3d sound (especially if you have a SB Live), check for a BIOS update for your mobo, make sure your video cache mode is set to USWC in your BIOS, etc. You should NOT have to turn down any graphics options to make it smooth on your system. Your system is just fine, except you never said how much RAM you have, and U.T. and Unreal are both RAM pigs.
