NHL 2000 & G400?

Hi guys...

Anyone here able to run NHL 2000 on the G400? I had problems running the techdemo, now it's fine but I'm still not able to run NHL 2000.

Try forcing AGP 1x. That was the only game that I had to do it.

Hmmm I had no problems whatsoever with it.
In fact, i run it at 1280x1024 with all the detail set to max and it runs like a dream. Its been a while since I installed it, but I seem to recall there being some kind of hardware detection program you need to run first? (someone correct me if i'm wrong, last EA game i installed was need for speed 3 and that had one).

I just noticed something: I have 5.30 drivers and DX7 installed but when I ran DXDiag in the display section it says I am still using the 4.11 drivers. I did a clean uninstall as explained on Matrox's site but DX7 doesn't seem to recognize the new drivers...

billko: I already tried forcing it to AGP 1X, it didn't change a thing.

No problems, just like Echo|Fox.

I allso use 1280x1024, 1600x1200 is just a touch too slow. All details MAXed of course. =) I have 5.30 drivers + DirextX 7.0 installed. Just run the NHL 2000 3D setup prog and it will work. =) ( 3dsetup.exe in setup folder. )

Btw, just run the DXDiag and it says 4.11 so forget that. =) 5.30 arent DX7 drivers, so it shows the wrong version, atleast i think so. =)

Pete: I know about the 3d setup, it detects my card but the game still doesn't work.

A long shot here: could the problem be with the refresh rate of my monitor... I know my monitor is not listed in the matrox display config...
