Messiah dosn't run???

Hi folks....

i just downloaded the messiah demo and i try to run it but it says "messiah will not run in this territory without modification" ????
Any ideas what this is supposed to mean?
I got G400Max, latest 5.30 drivers, directx7 and Liveware3.0 installed....

well how do i modificate my territory? ;-)

From what I have read just change your time zone to USA somewhere (I don't know where you are now)...BUT, JUST TO let ya know...it wouldn't run on my system either...just clicked on it and went to a black screen...

I doupt it has anything to do with it...
but i tried it anyway and it doesnt work

I guess you have to press enter at the black screen and wait for 3-5 minutes and it compiles some skript...??
I didn't reach the black screen yet ;-)

Messiah demo doesn´r run in Windows german version. Don´t really know why, but I think there is a fix for it. Do a little search around gaming sites and you should find the info that you need.

I've read on http://www.bluesnews.com and on that Messiah is protected by locale. It will check the version of Windows that you are running and if it matches will not allow you to play. This happens for sure with German versions of Windows 98.

cu romal sends word that the Messiah Demo is region-locked, and will not start on German Windows installations. The simple workaround for this is to change the region settings if you have yours set to German.

Not only does it run, it runs BEAUTIFULLY!
There are NO slowdowns at even 1600x1200!!! It is the second game (other being Homeworld) that doesn't slow down at 1600x1200 on my MAX. But here the graphics is much more complex - I'm impressed by the engine.
