It seems faster to me than 1.08... Why are you saying that? Because of the timedemos fps?

They are different games (none of them in the final version) so you shouldn´t compare them Quake3 seems more complex to me (more polygons?) so...

What I meant was that the new Q3 demo (1.09) seems smoother to me, despite lower numbers in the timedemos... it´s just that if you notice carefully, there is more action going on than in the previous timedemos.

I agree, Nuno. The game does seem smoother, even with lower framerates reported. Seems like the timedemos, which average overall framerates (low and high), just stay closer to the real score. What I mean is this- the framerates in the timedemos are more consistent, is all.

I haven't even benched it. Know why? 'Cuz it runs so damn smooth I haven't been able to stop PLAYING it!

I'm running on a P3-500 w/256MB, and in a 16-player Internet deathmatch on "The Longest Yard", which was a supreme framerate killer before, I'm kicking ass and taking names.

The only thing I don't care for is this prob of having to run in 32 bit or getting that "revert to washed out desktop" error...it seems if I play in any other color depth that what Scythe (sorry, I am sure that that's wrong) had in his great config file...
Anyway, I am getting something like 69fps in 1028/768 at 32bit for everything, everything on and high quailty, etc...
thats on a K7 650 on an Asus K7m, 256 Megs HSDRAM PC133, and MAx...

I can't seem to get the foquen Q3aDemoTEST to run at all on my system. I'v just gotten a PIII for my computer to get th GL running. My god, things are looking swell, but Q3 won't work at all. Tried GLSetup and reinstalling the 5.30 drivers and TurboGL, but nothing works...

This is pissing me off, since I'm an active player... Can't get no skillz in q3a if the game's not running.

                    My system:
                    PIII 450@504
                    G400 DualHead
                    PC-133 RAM
                    ABit BH-6
                    Win 98 v 2222A EN.
                    Dx7.0 (Came with UT. )

The Q3Atest 1.08 runs without problems, and I had Q3DemoTest running before I stuffed the PIII in. Tried reinstalling Q3aDemoTEST as well... The game just quits beck to Windows in an ultragammalized 640x480 screen.

Anyone who knows what the problem is and might be able to help???
