  • Direct3D problems with G400, need help

I have only 2 games with D3D-only and both of them crush after 5 or so min of playing. Games with GL work just fine.
    I have G400 32Mb and DX7.0
    How to fix that?
    Tnx a lot!

NFS4 works fine for me, and I can play it for longer periods of time without probs. It is a "glide at heart" game tho... I believe that I82 uses the same engine as Mech3 (maybe not, but I think so) and I can play that for hours at a time. I think that this is probably a heat issue. If you have a clean install of 9x, drivers and DXx,then u need to try opening your box up and making sure everything is plugged in properly and there is adequate airflow. I added a second fan sucking air out of the case across the cards.
YOu should give us all the important specs of your system such as mb brand, cpu, memory, video card, driver and bios rev,os,etc...
          hope ya get it.

This is not a heat issue:
1)I have two 120mm fans pumping the air in and out
2)And even if it would have been a heat issue, all games would crush, but most of my games work fine.

            My Specs:
            Ausu P3B-F, P3-450@558 (124 FSB, 41 PCI, 2/3 AGP), 64 PC100, G400-32-SH v5.30, MX300 sound, 10.2 HD, Sony x40, Win98SE, Award BIOS ver??, DirectX 7.0

Someone told me it could be a low power problem, but i dont think so, crz i have 450Watts of power.

            Any other ideas?
