  • Turbo GL --can't use on P3

    Recently upgraded drivers from PD 5.11 to 5.3 to 5.41 I can't use the turbo gl without my reverting back to the blurred desktop in Q3. Sometimes can load it after loading default drivers first. Running P3 128 ram ibm hd live sound asus p3b-f board g400 Max no tweaks video bios1.3-20. Love the card can anyone give me any help? thanks Mark

    hey my q3 (1.09) has the very same behaviour.. testing tgl with 1.08 and it works great.. but using it with 1.09 and ...

    i could not help further..

      what speed are you running your P-3 at, FSB, agp divider: 1/1 or 2/3

        Did you guys enter the game, before installing TurboGL, and configure it at 800x600/32-bit?

        Hopefully, this isn't old news to you guys, but you have to exit the game at 800x600/32-bit, because you have to enter the game at that resolution for it to work with TurboGL.

        Scytale has posted a config file you can use to correct your settings. Mark F has also posted a link to recently.

          I know the problem,
          def. sounds like you are starting at the wrong res. etc.
          Take out or rename the opengl32.dll file in your Q3demo folder. Run the game, change your resolution and colour depth to be 800x600 and 32 bit colour, change the textures to 32 bit textures. Then exit the game.
          Rename or copy back the opengl32.dll and VOILA! It should work if everything else in your system is ok.
          I couldn't get it to run anywhere near stable with 1.08 and not at all with 1.09, but it does the trick with the full demo and at a fair lick of speed too!

            Thanks all for your help. Downloaded final demo ( I think its 1.11 ). Run at 800x600 32 bit (can't see much noticable diff in higher resolotions for me ) loaded turbo gl --runs real nice a little faster I think (no music in demo-- that could help speed ) Hope this can hold me till Christmas when I can buy it as a present fory son and we both can use it. I love my card! Mark
