  • white dots in half life direct3d with g400

I run half life in direct3d 1024*768 , it gives me some white dots , and some lines, in particular places of the level where I'm in.

I do not overclock my card, I tried it once but it made half-life look horrible, even just with an increase of 4% using matrox tweak utility.

    please reply !

    bye!! thanks

    What about OpenGL mode?

HL is an OGL game, and that's how it runs best. The D3D support in the game is just a built-in OGL-D3D wrapper. It's slower than OGL, and it does not display all of the effects properly (like the Engineers EMP in TFC makes no visual explosion in D3D like it does in OGL).

yeah.. goto GL.. i used to run D3D but the graphics looked like crap and I kept getting those white specs everyhwere.. at first i was freaked thinking it was from my card being overclocked, but, i restored it to default and they were still there.

also, the 5.41 drivers are much better than 5.3.. very happy with them. i get decent performance at 1024x768.. things are kinda small though.. 800x600 much easier.
