UNREAL and G200 setup help needed

I'll admit I don't do much gaming, but my friend got my UNREAL(patched to 225f) for my b-day and I'm trying to get D3D support to work with my Mill G200 card. I also have a RR-G series so the drivers I'm running are: vid card 5.30, RR-G vid tools 1.51, and directx 7. This is on a K6-2 300 with 128 megs of ram. When I go to Advanced Options/D3D support/ and close the window, the screen turns black, I get dumped to a enlarged desktop image and my machine is locked up. I know there used to be a d3d patch that matrox had, but I followed the link in their driver section to the UNREAL 225f patch. Any help or comments would be great! Thanks!

i had the same problem with 225f, so i went back to an older patch 219... http://www.unrealfiles.net/files/key...ekey=ununreal1 ... it works great now.

only thing is, you might have to reinstall unreal because of the 225f patch. might. i dunno for sure. if you do have to reinstall, just make sure to back up your unreal/save folder so you can continue on where you left off. btw, this patch allows you to start up unreal w/o having the cd in. handy if you've done the full (~375 mb) install.

I have played alot of UnReal, and for 225f just disable the Volumetric Lighting in the Advanced Options.. and all should be golden

Oh and I sometimes have that problem as well.. just goto safe mode and make your Adjustments then reload into the normal mode and your adjustments will be active
