Quake3 Timedemos!!

Quake3's main menu has a "DEMOS" listing that lets you choose the time demo you want and runs it! when complete press the "~" key and it gives you the specs. Iwas surprised that my FPS were so low as the game looks so good and runs well! With my system I get24.6 fps on both demos!
P2-400 , 128mg. I should have stated the fps is for 1024*768 ,everything on,to the Max!

Presumably you are running \timedemo 1 on the console before selecting the demo.


I've recently upgraded from a PII/233 to a PIII/500 and found the extra framerate to be very important when fighting the bots in single player at Hardcore. The game looked good in both cases.

Unfortunately the TGL needs Win98 as well as a P-III to run so my framerate is not as "spectacular" as it might be.

what system its not a 486 is it?
what size?? 320x ???? x16 or 800x640 x 32 high quality?

I don't have the full version of Quake 3 yet
I can't wait to see it run on my system
