  • G400Max, W2K, Beta5.00.007 and D3D Hardware ?

    Greetings.

    I just did a clean W2K install ,
and installed the new Beta 5.00.007 drivers,
and I can't get my Direct3D _Hardware_ acceleration to work.
Is this suppose to work ?

DxDiag only does the software rendering test, not the hardware rendering test.
MS MidtownMadness doesn't give me the hardware setup options (resolutions etc.).

Has anyone else experienced this ?
Has anyone D3D _hardware_ acceleration on their W2K G400 system up and running ?

I emailed Matrox about this the day after they released the drivers, no answer still.

    My setup:
    Windows2000 Pro, build 2194
    Matrox G400Max
    Intel SE440BX-3 Motherboard

    Regards,
    Magnus

    Very odd.
    I have D3D in Ms-Fs98 and Unreal with Win2000 build 2128, using PD5.00.007 beta.
    On Celeron 450A (not P3) and G400SH/16.
And they do work fine and smooth. Just amazing. Thanks Matrox.
