  • UT....D3D or OpenGL....which one??

I have had UT for about a week now but I have only been playing in D3D (and very, very happily I might add) so whats the difference in OpenGL compared to D3D in UT on the G400??

I find I get better overall performance on the G400 MAX when using the TurboGL for UT. It's darker, so I have to turn up my gamma a bit (from the display panel), and it's a memory hog - no more HL sitting in the background, but when it works, it seems to work quite a bit smoother on the average than the D3D version.

D3D's frame rate varies wildly. I'll get points where the frames drop down to the 10's, then shoot into the 70's.

        Just my $0.02
