    I replace my old g200 with a g400 16mb sg,
after I installed new driver (5.41)and BIOS(1.5), everything is OK except OpenGL ICD.
So I can't play Q3 and anything in needs of GL, Even the Tech demo!!! My G200 works fine with Q3....
My system configuration is about pII400 128MBsdram MS-6116 Sb live/value

    256MB PC100 SDRAM

Ok, let's start at the beginning... system specs? IRQ list?

    - Gurm

P.S. And you did THOROUGHLY and COMPLETELY uninstall the G200, right? Using the Matrox uninstaller? And rebooting in safe mode to make sure?

Also you say that you cannot play any opengl games and there is a problem with the ICD. Ok explain, do the games not start at all? Do you get any error messages etc? Does the computer start to laugh and point at you profusely? Jediphoenix

There's no IRQ conflict and I arranged one IRQ for G400 in Bios. But I didn't uninstall G200's driver first, does it matter? If so How should I do now?

        Many thanks!

When I start a OpenGL game, such as Quake3,
It starts as normal, after it switch the screen resolution I just see the windows desktop again, nothing else.
and the direct3D functions are normal.

Ok, you need to do the following:

            1. Make sure you're running in 16-bit or 32-bit and NOT 24-bit, which could cause the symptoms you're describing.

            2. Use the Matrox Uninstaller (from Matrox or from MURC) to uninstall your drivers, then reinstall 5.41 and try it.

OK, Thanks all of you for your help. I think I will try to erase any old G200 files and registry entries and then install G400 drivers.

Anyway, D3D is working fine, for I can play Homeworld with D3D(GL mode will crash to windows). I think the hardware is ok, do you think so? Need I return the card to retailer and replace it with one new?

Don't return your card (yet). It is almost certainly OK. You need to run the Matrox uninstaller and then re-install the drivers.
                  No big deal.
                  Here is the uninstaller-> http://www.murc.ws/driver/Win9x/PD5/un_513.zip
