  • Millenium G400Max and Flight Unlimited 3

    Hi,
With great expectations I've installed my new Matrox Millenium G400Max with the latest Matrox drivers, DirectX 7.0a, under Windows98SE. To my big surprise while selected a Direct3D option, I've got a white screen and complete system freeze.
Only when switched to Glide (Monster 3D II 12MB) the simulation loaded and worked OK, but I cann't choose a higher resolution than 800x600.
Has anybody here an idea what can it be. BDW. The aperture size in my BIOS is 256.

A Happy New Year to all.

Have you disabled the D3D functions of the Voodoo card? By default, it will try to run D3D apps, and could be conflicting with the G400.

You can disable it's D3D functions in it's display properties applet, or with any number of 3rd party utils. If that doesn't do it, try pulling the Voodoo out of the system, and removing it's drivers. Unless you are running some Glide specific games, you don't really need it in there anyway...
