Rogue Spear just dies!

Hi, a couple weeks ago I installed Rouge Spear at a friends network meet.. the install etc was sweet..but..
when it was booting and should have shown the first graphics the screen just went black!

I tried many things including opening and shutting the cd drive.. reinstalling drivers etc but the same problem occurred(sp?) anyhow has anyone else played Rouge Spear successfully?

Of course, this is one of my favorite game. Sometimes, for the first run crash back to desktop, but on the second run there is no problem at all.
Please tell some specs like: video card, driver version, audio card, op. sys., proc, mobo etc...

Rouge spear wouldnt run on software or the other video modes
