Battlezone 2 has sweet graphics, but it'll bring your system to its knees. All the vehicles seem to be bumped, but you'll take a 10+fps hit. On an Athlon 600, 192MB, G400Max,K7M, all slightly overclocked; at 10x7,16 bit, high terrain and sky, small textures, triple buffered: Bumped=15-40fps, Non-Bumped=25-80fps. I'm still early in the game but so far plays great. The bumped vehicles look great but I haven't decided if it's worth the fps hit.

I love the game so far! Look in the render.cfg file for some interesting tweaks, along with the enable bump mapping switch.

Framerate drop didnt seem that nasty. With all settings maxxed, along with the adv. perty features in the render.cfg, my minimum is 20fps. I can turn off some of the pretty features and get a nice speedup....

It's very interesting but the P3 optimizations don't seem to do anything.....

Bump mapping doesnt happen until you're quite close to vehicles and only vehicles and some buildings are bumped.

That's hilarious that the PIII optimizations don't do anything....wasn't the demo of this game at the Intel site to show the powers and potential of the PIII?

I looked around for it here in the Bay Area and haven't found it, but I'm really looking forward to getting my hands on it.
