  • Marvel G400 - TV flicker probems in Dualhead

When I enable Dualhead Clone to play NHL 2000 on my TV, my TV flickers nonstop. I can see the game, but the flickering is to annoying to play. Any suggestions?

If the flickering happens in other situations also make sure that
in the dual head tab of the Display properties, make sure you have the right setting (NTSC or PAL).

The setting is NTSC which is correct and this flickering doesn't happen when do other things other then play games.

        enable "VSync"...
it should be enabled by default...

i disabled "VSync" (it is a little bit faster) and than i tried to play NHL2000 on a TV... and guess...flickering!!!!

so i enabled "VSync" again... and guess...flickering was gone...

to be honest: in every game i play i do have flickering on the TV (openGL or D3D) aslong as "VSync" is disabled...

I have the same problem but it only occurs in Quake 3 with the Turbo GL. If I play without the Turbo GL the TV picture is fine. Also, Unreal Tourney picture is fine. I have submitting a question to tech support and their response was to try setting the vsync on in Quake 3. I have tried these variables that were posted by Maggi in the autoexec.cfg file with no luck.
          set gl_ext_swapinterval "1"
          set gl_swapinterval "1"
          set gl_finish "1"

Question: Does anyone know the how to turn on vsync in Quake 3? (Maybe the above statements do, but it didn't solve my problem)

          Thx
