NFS High Stakes

The Need For Speed High Stakes demo looks like crap on my G400. I have 2 socket7 computers, one with a Rage pro 8 meg, and one with a V3 3000. The demo looks great on them. On my PII 450 with a G400, it's blocky as hell. I can't change the res. in the demo. I have the full version of Hot Pursuit, and it works great. What gives?
