ive tried re installing w98 today, because it all just got a little bit better today: when i install matrox drivers, i see a scrambled up display made up of big white lines and a vague windows startuplogo ("where do you want to go today?" :-)
and though the keyboard still functions, i (obviously) cant work with this. so i had to remove the martox drivers, and now i cant even test the techdemo anymore! whoopee..
so i guess i'll stop complaining on this forum, because its obvpiously something terribly Evil like a defect card or a huge overheat. no software tricks can solve this, although, thats imho.

i'll post the solution to my problem asap for other users to enjoy.
(unless the solution was: "buy a voodoo3 card")
