g400 oc and stuff

Part 1:
When I tried to oc my G400 32mb, dual, to 300, windows really got a hard time!! The screen startet to make strange stripes. So I clocket down to original mhz again. I have goop and a fan at the 3d card. What happened?
Shall I do someting with these clock dividers (I use MGATweak):
-GCLK
-MCLK
-WCLK
What is a good realistick target for me?

Part 2:
I have red that Matrox supports AGP*4. How can I check what AGP speed my computer does? I think I only do 1*AGP. Does this make a result in my timedemos in Q2?? How many fps is NORMAL in Q2, 1024, map demo1.dm2?
Why does Q2 only support D3D and not 3dfx?

which G400 clock did you set to 300 ?

System details:
AMD K6-2 500mz 3d now, 64 mb PC 100 ram, Epox Mpv3g2 motherbord, and a old hd (2800 rpm i think) and Matrox G400 32 mb dual.

I used the MGA tweak. The only thing I did, was to set the system PLL clock to: 300. I didnt tuch the clock dividers, such as:
-GCLK
-MCLK
-WCLK
I see that the app got a option called "Clock Monitoring". What is that?

I have set VSYNC off. I have heard that VSYNC off, makes Quake2 not to run higher than 45 fps. Is this correct?

I got my G400 vanilla 32mb card oc'd to 150/200 easily (w/o fan etc). I think heat might be a problem so I now only have it at 145. I'm getign a fan from tennmax to substitute for the heatsink...I didn't screw with any of the settings, just put the clock up to 300...It might be that your card just has crummy memory on it.

In MGA Tweak shows PLL system clock: 252 mhz (standar). But when I try to set it to 300 mhz, the screen start to make strange colors and bars. I have goop under the heat sink and a fan at the top of the sink. Should I take the sink of, and only use a fan?
