Problems with curent drivers and Thief/Thief 2 demo

Has anyone been able to run Thief: The Dark Project, or the Demo for Thief 2 with a G200 or G400 with the 5.41.008 or later drivers? I found that since upgradeing that Thief will no longer work with 3D acceleration. The previous version(5.30.007) works perfectly. I've checked, running DirectX 7 with an ASUS K7M 1.04 motherboard, EVERY game except Thief and the Thief 2 demo works perfectly on the new drivers. Any help would be appreciated.

Requested video mode cannot be set(or something similar) is the error I get.

This is a known issue with the drivers. None of the games based on the Dark engine work (ie this includes System Shock 2). Hopefully it will be fixed in the next driver release (although that's what was said last time...)
