I bought this new computer 3 days ago.
    it's a Pentium III 700, 128MB ram, 16 Gigab hd, Sound Blaster 128, and the Matrox G400
Max 32MB. Eveeything work fine, but all the games start only in Direct3d and in software
renderer, and OpenGL is not supported whatsoever... I downloaded all the new
drivers (included the 5.41) but it's doesnt
work. PLEASE can somebody help me out?
Ah... my motherboard is an ASUS P3B-F.

    Thanks

I don't know if it will make any difference, but did you try installing to the Turbo GL.

Make sure you are in 16 or 32bit color desktop (NOT 24bit).

Also, make sure you have an IRQ assigned to your G400.

Post more detailed system info (OS, MOBO, and especially IRQ assignments) if you need more help...

          BTW-
The TurboGL MD reffered to is not a part of the regular driver package. It is a separate download, so if you don't have that yet, you should get it...

            I have Windows 98.
            G400 is on IRQ 11.
I even tried to change the AGP setting
in the BIOS to 256 but still doesn't work.
It seems like OpenGL is not supported by the video card...
            Downloaded the TurboGL MD too...
            please, let me know something.

            Thanks!

              And the color depth setting?
If you are set to 24bit on your desktop, it will not run, as 24bit is not hardware accelerated (you will get an error like you describe)
