G400 help...

I'm fairly new to the G400 but am very happy after trading in my Fury....just a couple of
questions though...Q3 test did not even start
up so I tried everything else (UT/KP/GP500 etc) and it seemed to be ok...even Q2...running the latest drivers(5.41)and TurboGL...now I tried Q3 again but this time
removed the opengl32.dll file and now it seems to work!...but am I using TurboGL or
what?...technically speaking I am not the
guy to ask but I am getting better as time goes on....also I d/l Gearhead Garage Demo
and it worked the 1st time but now once I get
into it it comes up with a ddhelp error!...Ive read about this on this forum but have no idea on what to do...any help out
there?...thanx in advance.

We need some system specs. Be specific and not just hardware, but drivers and dx ver.

Ho Hum...Just put the OpenGL32.dll back in(let TgL manager do it)Lop the .dll off the end (rename to OpenGL32 no .dll) start Q3a. set to 800X600X32, close Q3A, put the .dll back on, play Q3A at ant res you want, just set back to 8X6X32 when you quit, or you'll do all this over again. Tell a friend about it, so it wont come up so much, or use the search feature. Or use the 5.50 without TGL, they are almost as fast..NO THEY ARE NOT FASTER, AS SOME WOULD CLAIM, but I only lose 1~2 fps from TGL. If your installation of TGL is right, look under Drivers in Q3A setup, and it will say TurboGL. Later

So you have tested everyones system personally to come to this conclusion??
Perhaps you meant to say "They are not faster for ME"?
Different rigs give different results. Just because you experienced a condition DOES NOT mean everyone experiences the same thing...

'Scuse Me!!!!!! I, of course, have not tested everyones system, so I humbly apologize for making this broad statement!!
I have, however, tested mine, and have found the TGL to be faster(by only a miniscule amount)than the 5.50 ICD. I did not see in any post previous where the 5.50 ICD was faster on some systems than TGL, all I saw, and I might have missed some, was "the 5.50 ICD IS FASTER THAN THE TGL". Kind of implying that it was faster on EVERYBODY"S system. My mistake, and I hope that people test their own system. Andrei (see post "any problems with 5.50")seems to agree
with my findings, so there appears to be at least 2 systems where the TGL is faster than the 5.50 ICD, so possibly there might be others, as well.

ok...did as you said but I've seem to run into a problem....when I change Q3 to 32 bit color it f*x up...I get two small screens up
top and in weird colors....what if I just
leave the dll out of the opengl file?...mmm
probably wont be the same as if I really
fixed it the right way huh?...oh well any
other takers out there?
