  • 5.41 Stutter Fix?

    I have searched the threads and found that if i close powerdesk(ctrlaltdel) the stutter problem that most users are getting will go away... so what i did is i renamed it from pdesk.exe to pdesk1.exe so it wont start at all...
    BUT i find it more convenient for that icon to be there... for changing res/color/monitor refresh rates/3d options.. etc... so is there any OTHER way to fix the problem.. i dont want to go back to 5.30 as these (5.41) drivers are much faster ?????????

      If your using Windows 98 type MSCONFIG in the RUN box and go to the startup tab...then deselect PDESK.

      ------------------
      C:\DOS
      C:\DOS\RUN
      \RUN\DOS\RUN
      C:\DOS

          Hi

          Search with "regedit" in the registry the "PDEnable" key and change the value from "01 00 00 00" to "00 00 00 00".

          REGEDIT4

          [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Matrox\PowerDesk\Versi on5\CurrentSettings]
          "PDEnable"=hex:00,00,00,00

          Don't forget to restart your computer!

          bye
