Does anybody know what's the problem with my system? Just got the game and it wont run. Normal tricks wont help. The game starts fine with the "trailer" but when the game itself should start (sharper image of the seat appears) I'm thrown back to windows. window says:

    Rally:guru meditation
    error code [8000ED1E]
    exception!
code C0000005 (access violation) at IP0042535F

and some other information including codes like EAX=00730073 EPX.......

    My system:
    PIII 450
    matrox g200 8Mb Agb
    win98

Have you tried any update patches for the game ??

        Thans for your replies!
        Got it working by accident...
It had strange demands on my system:
        -patch 4
        -directx7.0a ... 7.0 didn't work
        -full install 650mb
-no other programs running (just explorer)
        -modified ral.cfg with:
        *nocdmusic=1
        *nonetwork=1
        *something else I forgot...

I can send more spesific information if someone has similar problems?

        And to your questions:
-latest videodrivers didn't seem to work for me
        -64Mb (for now...)

ahi ahi ahi. I played with rally ch. for many weeks and all was ok. yesterday I installed other 64mb (totally 128 now) and I played the game fine for one way, but today I have your same error if I start rally championship :-((((. I installed the game and it is ok after the installation but the second way the problem there is again. I use 5.50, or 5.41. Have you 128MB? Is your agp aperture 128MB? My only changes before the first way the problem appear are the new dimm of 64MB and the changing of agp aperture from 64 to 128 and video bios shadow disable. By

Ieeeeeaaaaaahhhhh :-) .Well miti, now we can play Rally Championship ....I think !!! I have a G400 (:-)))) ) but the problem is the same...
Ok I think the problem is in the var directory present in ...\rc. When I reinstall the game it work the first time because the problem in one of the files in rc\var there isn't. So you try in this way that work for me: uninstall the game and make sure to delete your var directory if you find it after uninstall; install the game with normal installation (I think full is the same for the problem) and when the installation end and go in the game don't play absolutely and go back in win; now make a backup of this new var directory and replace the bad var directory with the good var every way you start RC. The only problem in this way is that you must set again your play every way you start it because it return to default settings. LOL:-) LOL:-) but it plays now.... and we hope for a soon patch. Send me a answere to tell me if the game is now ok... ;-)
              bye...
