Question: With this new driver release, does the "Thief" engine run properly?

Just a question to those who have already updated to the latest drivers. Is the "Thief" engine (games like Thief GOLD and System Shock 2) running up correctly? The last time I tried to upgrade to the version before the 5.50xBeta ( I think 5.4x),
the engine had problems intitiating correctly
(eg. garbled graphics, "Unable to switch to video mode", etc.). So, after searching to see if anyone else had this problem here, I found that someone had downgraded to version 5.30. Long story short, I did the same soon after and it's been working fine ever since. But, now that Beta has been upgraded to a full release, I was wondering if anyones dried it with those types of games. Any and all responses appreciated!
