  • OpenGL ICD

    Hi,

I heard you talking about NOT using TurboGL (wont work here with Q§) but using the ICD instead.

Hmm, is that supposed to be with the normal Driver? Q3 doesn't find any OpenGL.
Do I have to rename the G400ICD.dll or something?

How are you guys running Quake3Arena?

    Ciao/2 Christoph

    You should not rename anything.

Matrox posted a new driver set a couple of days ago. The new ICD runs about as fast as TurboGL at lower resolutions, and I've found it to be faster at higher resolutions.

I found this sequence to work:

Download the new driver and unzip it into its own directory.
    http://www.matrox.com/mga/drivers/files/w9x_550_10.htm

Before you uninstall your current drivers, use TurboGL Manager to remove TurboGL file from your game folders or remove them manually.

Uninstall your current drivers using Matrox's uninstaller. Boot back into Windows and install the Standard VGA driver. Reboot. Boot into Windows in Standard VGA mode, and, using the *setup* file, install the new drivers. Reboot and you should be set.

Just make sure the TurboGL file is not in your game folders. Otherwise, TurboGL will still be enabled, and if you're having problems with it, those problems will most likely continue.
