  • Problems with Counterstrike Beta 5.2 and G400Max

I have som grafix problems with the newest beta of Couterstrike (Open GL mode) that I didn't have with CS Beta 5. The screen get screwed up when starting the game a second time or when I have Dual Head engaged, all wich worked with CS Beta 5. Does anyone know if the new Beta 5.50 Matrox Drivers works better or anyone with the same problem as me???

Well, if you can't seem to fix it, i'd sudgest deleteing cstrike directory and re-downloading the files, if posible.

        No problem here.
        What is your setup ?
Did you change drivers in the meantime (between CS5.0 and 5.2).

First I thougth it was a problem with the 5.2 update so I reinstalled the entire HalfLife game and CS, same problem. And I didn't change my drivers in between the two CS versions. Running a Celeron 300a@450, with a G400Max and a SoundBlaster PCI 128.

Do you use TGl or the ICD ?
In my case I had some corruption with the ICD and Cs which was intermittent, went back to TGL and it's gone, don't know if it was really an Icd problem, would have to remove TGL again and have a look.

What display depth are you running your desktop at??? I was running mine at 24bit colour and had similar problems when resuming a game or going to the menus etc. When I changed the depth to 16bit all my probs went away.
