  • G400+p3450+Intel440BX+TurboGL no work?

I just upgraded my system yesterday. I got a PIII 450, Tekram P6B40-A4X, 128 PC100 RAM, with the INtel 440BX chipset. I can get OpenGL ICD to run, But not TurboGL, On my old puter AMDk6-2 I had the opposite problem. ANyone have any idea on how I can get the TurboGL MCD to work? Whenever I install it in Half-Life, it gets to the loading screen then just crashes back to the desktop, Sorta annoying. But on the plus side this chip RoXorZ ;p 120 FPS in HL at 800x600. BTW Ive got the Millenium G400 32meg

    Thanks,

Defrag, why don't you remove the TurboGL file from all your game folders, uninstall, PD 5.41 or whatever it is that you're using, and install the *new* beta drivers Matrox just posted. They're about as fast as TurboGL in lower resolutions, and many of us have found them to be faster at higher resolutions.

There are some AMD issues, but they should work for you. I've found them to be very stable.

Again, remember to *remove* the TurboGL file from your game folders, use Matrox's uninstaller, and install the drivers in VGA mode using the setup program.

If you happen to have had a Voodoo card anytime in the past, be sure to delete the Glide and OpenGL .dll's (and any mini-GL's) it may have left behind. If that's not it, try a clean install of Windows. Your setup should work, I don't see any incompatiblities with the chipset or CPU.
