  • Which Card Should I buy?!!!

I can buy two cards. Both are the same price. I have been unable to make up my mind. I can either get a G400 16MB SINGLE HEAD or a DIAMOND VIPER V770 TNT2 (NOT ULTRA) I am not too worried if the VIPER is a few frames faster as I know the G400 looks better. But I cannot find a direct comparison against a TNT2 standard and G400 standard out there to help me decide. I only own a PII-350 and resolutions above 1024*768 are not a real good option for games and I canot afford to upgrade any time soon. My current card is a Creative TNT 16MB.

    Please comment ASAP.

    Charles.

Ok, G400 is better than a TNT2 while the G400 max is better than a TNT2 Ultra.

Get the G400 32MB instead you'll need the extra ram if you play games or work with 1024x768 at 32bit color.

Hey Scarz....upgrading from a TNT to a regular TNT2 will not be that significant, believe me, I have the original TNT and my friend's TNT2. With the G400, you money will go farther. If you can save some money and get the 32MB version like APV suggested, or even get dual head. The G400 is a keeper, and I can't wait till the next offering from Matrox arrives. Good hunting!
