If I load HL(1.013), either as a new game or from a previous save, there are still 5 bands of horizontal shear. If I press Escape, and then reload the same previous save or restart the new game, the shear is gone and the
game's graphics are rock solid. This has been consistent for four days and tested on over 100 starts. Does anyone have a theory as to what would cause this? I can happily live with it but after 2 months of hell getting HL this stable, I would like to understand the process. If greater minds than mine feel that this is a hardware problem, my apologies, and I will repost this on the hardware forum.
