Is anyone else having trouble with The Sims when running the beta g400 drivers for win2k ? The game loads up fine, but when i move my mouse pointer it "sticks" all over the place, like wherever the pointer has been there's a image of it there ...

It seems that you are not the only one having trouble with this game, if this thread is anything to go by...
I suspect you might have multiple problems, some of them being the game and maybe some of them being the Win2K drivers...
But why do you think your problem is the G400? Wouldn't a more likely culprit be the mouse drivers/control panel settings?
Especially if you use a Logitech mouse...what you describe sounds almost like the "mouse trails" setting is on (which can be either an Accessibility Control Panel setting, or a Logitech Mouse Control Panel setting, in my experience)-- but that would obviously not be a useful setting in the game....

ya, i thought it mighta been the mouse trails, but i was looking through both the Accessibility and Mouse options and couldn't find anything about mouse trails.. i'm thinking that the mouse trails i see when i move around on the desktop is a "function" if w2k... anyone know of a registry setting that can effectively disable this and maybe fix my problem with the sims?
Thanks!

I was on "The Sims" bboard last night and noticed alot of people having the same issues as you and I. The common thing we all seem to share is that we have a high end video card. Most people on "The Sims" bboard with issues seem to have a GeForce card. I know that my G400 Max is equal and in some ways better than a GeForce card, hence the trouble I am having with the game. There is supposedly a patch that is going to be released soon to remedy these issues.
