    Desent3 issues /w G400MAX

    i was understating the 'issues' in the subject field, i'm having major problems.
    has anyone with a G400MAX or any G400 card been able to run Desent3 without problems or is this game never to run with this card. i get as far as the mission loading screen (managed to complete training missions) then it dumps me back to my desktop. i'm at wits end, i think i've tried everything. i even bought the expansion pack Mercenary with better results, i can at least play the odd mission but not all the maps load. to be fair it seems everyones having problems with this game (checked out the desent3 board, people are very pissed at this game, 1.3 patch seems to amplify the problems) i don't care if anyone can help me or not i just want to know i'm not alone on this one.. or should i just hang for the long awaited 1.4 patch to fix everything (sceptical!!!)

    strange, descent 3 works perfect here on my g400 max.

    be sure to use direct 3d, not open gl.....

    hope this is the problem.....

      Thanks for the reply and no i'm not using openGL, i've been avoiding it like the plague, it worse than D3D

        Works great for me too. Even OGL is ok, just a bit slow. D3D mode rocks alot of booty. I don't use the EMBM tho... I find it less than nice looking(unlike other bumped stuff)

          How do i get to turn on EMBM in this game??? i don't think i have EMBM on cos the reflection i see on my ship thru the mirror shows me plain textures. Also how do i see my back view instead of my cockpit view so i can see if my ship has been bump???
