  • Quake3 won't run at all on win2kFinal -help

I lauch Quake III and the screen goes gray and then goes back to desktop with this message blinking on Quake III blue console:
User Interface is version 4, expected 3
It's happenning since I updated the bios from W2k500 to W2k501. Now even with the new NON-beta driver W2k503 I get the same message.
    I tried:
Unistall the game and intall again (the same)
Unistall the drivers and installing again (the same)

Does anybody know what to do from here???
    Thanks
    Positiv

By the way, my Quake3 is retail.
This is exactly that the console writes:

ID released no less than three patches last week, although the first was a beta "point release" and the next two require the first to be installed. I think they deal primarily with security issues.

What version of W2K are you using, Positiv?

Thanks for informing about the patches.
I'm gonna download them right now!

I fixed the problem uninstalling Quake3 retail and Installing Quake3 demo.
Then Quake3demo worked with no problems (weird).
After I uninstalled the demo and installed the retain and guess what? Worked perfectly.
The new 503 matrox driver is very stable with Quake3 now.

        Thanks.
