Is a K7 or a P3 best for a G400?

I've got a friend of mine that have bought him self a new G400... he wonder what's best to buy. A Pentium III or a K7?

Is there any problems with K7, or the VIA chipset? (I think I've heard something about it...)

Do you have any good benchmarks?

They are about the same. Both needs to be properly configured and patched (VIA/AMD patch or INF from intel). It's jsut a matter of taste.. speed is about the same also.
