first off
Id like more info on your system to help.
I had similar problems, but fixed them.
are you using the latest matrox driver ??
Also, for homeworld/G400/win2k
disable bus Mastering.
I dont know if anyone else has this problem but when I run homeworld on my system with bus mastering it goes crazy, same for Ut, Revenant and several other games.---------------------------

Thanks for replying i have:
Gigabyte GA-6BXE
pII450@508
512 PCI100
17.2 Maxtor
G400 32 Dual head(non max)
with the beta W2K driver@180x1024
Homeworld patched to 1.04.
I have tried running homeworld without clocking the cpu and still get the same problem.

well disabling Bus mastering should help you alot.
Ive tried other things, like setting my AGP appareture to 4mb in the BIOS, also fixed it.
which brings me to think that its a problem with the card not working properly in AGP 2x.
so I then disabled AGP 2x in win2k registry, bumped up my appareture to 256 mb, and it now works for UT, but I still get some problems with homeworld.
Anyways, its pretty annoying.---------------------------

search in the registry for
AGPflags
it should be set to binary value 01 01 00 00
set it to 00 00 00 00
then reboot, if it doesnt work then boot in safe mode, and put it back.
Ive only tested it on my system so far.
the actuall keys are :
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\G 400\Device0\MGA.AGPflags
and
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\G400\Device0\MGA.AGPflags
and
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Services\G 400\Device0\MGA.AGPflags
hope this helps.
