Thanks a bunch, Gurm! Now my Max is on IRQ 9. Here are the rest of my IRQ assignments (as listed by Win2K, including the Max):

System Information report written at: 02/24/2000 08:21:11 PM
    [IRQs]

    IRQ Number Device
    1 iTouch Keyboard (PS/2)
    4 Communications Port (COM1)
    6 Standard floppy disk controller
7 Intel 82371AB/EB PCI to USB Universal Host Controller
    7 D-Link DFE-530TX PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter
    8 System CMOS/real time clock
    9 Matrox Millennium G400 DualHead - English
10 Adaptec AHA-2940U/AHA-2940UW PCI SCSI Controller
11 Creative SB Live! Value (WDM)
11 Highpoint Technology Inc. HPT366 Ultra DMA 66 Controller
11 Highpoint Technology Inc. HPT366 Ultra DMA 66 Controller
12 Other Logitech Mouse PS/213 Numeric data processor
    14 Primary IDE Channel
    15 Secondary IDE Channel

Any suggestions on how to further modify the BIOS settings to get some of these devices that are sharing on separate IRQs?

BTW- I have 1 COM port enabled for a Power Backup. Other than that, USB, the other COM port, and the PARALLEL port are all disabled through the BIOS.

Never mind the last question. I just realized why the Live is sharing its IRQ with the DMA66 controllers- that PCI slot and the DMA have been set up that way. Unfortunately, with 3 PCI slots available to put it in (+1 shared with AGP and 1 other non-busmastering slot), I don't have much choice. After all, the 3 PCI cards I put in those slots are ALL busmastering devices:

      Creative SbLive!Value
      D-Link 530TX 10/100 NIC
      Adaptec 2940UW SCSI card

I guess the results you've given me are about the optimum for this motherboard.
