I think im stupid but........GPL

I have got Grand Prix Legends UK version, and the latest powerdesk drivers 5.52.015. I read that they work with GPL. WHat i dont know is how, i patched GPL to the latest patch aslo but i still can only use software. Could some tell mehow you get a G400 Max to work with GPL?? THe rest of my system is K7 650, ASUS K7M, 128 MB ram, G400 Max. Works fine in software but no hardware support. Sorry if the question has been asked b4, i looked through the post and didnt see it anywhere

Go to the Papyrus site and download the beta opengl driver for GPL. Then read the instructions. This is how I got it working. I assume its the correct method ?

It works but is slow/choppy and also I can see the joins in background textures (not pretty)
