Newest 5.52 win9x drivers will not let me go into standbye and come out of it without doing a reboot.........it really sucks because I like to leave my box on and come back and wake it up,but now when I come back to wake the beast up she doesnt respond, and I have to hit reset and do a reboot, anyone else with this problem?Any tips to fix it?

It's sound like to me that you have tried
different Power Savings modes and nothing
has worked. The biggest thing about standby or sleep mode is your harddrive, make sure that it is not turning off, I set mine
to spin down after 20 to 30 minutes.
    that should fix your problem.

The whole point is that the last drivers do not cause this to happen.

What do you mean make sure it does not turn off, then you recommend to have it spin down after 2030 minutes(isnt this the same as turning it off)
Anyways I dont see how the HDD could affect my video driver really,it was working fine before the newest drivers, but now it is not.

        Yep, me too

Short of any better ideas I just disabled power saving. Don't really need it on dektop anyways.... I think.

Only thing is I installed alot of things at the same time so I can't be sure its anything to do with Matrox!

Sorry this isn't very helpful, I agree that loser_boy's barking up the wrong tree (no offense) The point of power saving is to save power - if you aren't saving power you aren't power saving.. oh dear i'm rambling time to stop
