  • Rocket marks and bullet holes in q3 with the g400 max and newest drivers

All the bullet mark/rocket marks are not being rendered correctly with my g400 max, they are sort of shifting and distorted,I am running win98 and every thing is fine in games exept for this, any ideas?
Should I use the turboGL for q3?

I use 5.50.10 beta ICD with 5.52 drivers. Works fine and near TGL performance (actually I think it´s faster than TGL at high quality settings)

TGL gives a big boost at something like 640x480x16, but the ICD is just as fast (or even faster) than TGL at higher resolutions.

Nuno, how do you run the 5.50 ICD but with 5.52 drivers?

      I'm puzzled :0)

Easy. Install 5.52 drivers. Unpack 5.50.10 drivers (unpack, don´t install!). Look for a file named g400ICD.dl_ . It´s a compressed file. Unzip it (like with winzip). Now you have g400ICD.dll (a file with 1.83 Mb). Copy it to \windows\system and replace the file when prompted - you are actually replacing the 5.52 ICD with 5.50.10.

Ok, that´s it, all the OGL apps when looking for the ICD will use 5.50.10

Oh and if you want to get back (or forward ) to 5.52, back up the g400ICD.dll file in \windows\system right after you install 5.52.
