G400 MAX questions

(1) I read a message before that the G400's that were originally shipped are not actually AGP 4x boards. Is this true? If so, how can i get my 4x board that i have comming to me?

(2) I also read something about a "BeOS"? Can someone explain what this is exactly?

(1) Go to the Matrox Hardware forum, and read the dozenzs of threads from the past months about this topic. Bottom line: You have what you have, and you have nothing else coming to you. Aside from that, 4x is a sales buzzword, and has no real meaning in todays software or hardware (the ram on your mobo is not even fast enough to handle 4x bandwidth, even if the mobo is 4x capable, and the software doesn't use textures large enough for 4x to matter)

(2) It's an operating system. An alternative to Winblows.
