  • Freezing game with g400 Max(revolt)

When i play revolt or trickstyle
i can play for a while and suddenly my
computer freez. I just installed the latest
    driver and it still freezes.
I have the matrox g400 Max TV.
I have to reboot my computer.
Is there anything i could do

Have you noticed that both are acclaim titles? of course you did but revolt also freezes here with all PDs and when it doesn´t freeze it runs slowly.

I´m guessing some ugly uncompatibilities with acclaim programing. But then again Shadowman runs better then with any other card so go wander

It freezes on mine too. I don't play it anymore.

Matrox's FAQ on their site says how to solve the revolt problem. You go to the render settings (in video settings) and set the texture filtering to anistropic then back to linear. It helped stop a lot of the revolt freezing for me.

Also getting the latest patch for ReVolt helped out a lot with my hangs. Grab it from the Adrenaline Vault here:

I have the demo. My kids really like it, but because of the freezing, I haven't bought the full version. I tried playing with the different texture filtering, but didn't help -- at least not on the demo version.

              No problem here.

I still use 5.30 drivers and almost all games I play never crash.

              Bye
